- AIR Auckland Isolation Resort

- AIR is the national resilience centre for isolating people from overseas. The design values people’s relationship, their wellbeing and ways to reduce the risk of spreading COVID. And to create a ‘not feel isolated’ environment for people during their isolation period. The design is influenced by the Sun and Wind. Each unit gets direct sunlight and has a good ventilation system to reduce the risk of infection. We provide a semi-public courtyard and terrace to be shared between three units. Each unit is for a maximum of two people. The area inside each unit is divided into three main areas; bedroom, living room, and work space. This layout is from my own experience during isolation and to support the idea of creating a clear line between spaces to in- crease the productivity inside the work space.
